Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox is a Scottish born singer. She was born on 25 December 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox attended her studies at the Royal Academy of Music, London in the 70s. She took a course in harpsichord and the flautist piano for three years. The budget of her was augmented with a student stipend as well as part-time employment. Lennox was of the opinion that her talents aren't the same as her Royal Academy classmates. So she started thinking of other routes she could choose. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. However she left prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent show New Faces. The singer was lead vocalist in The Tourists (a British popband) from 1977-1980. As part of this group, she was introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they would form the Eurythmics Pop duo. Lennox started working on Diva in 1992. It was her debut solo album. The album was a massive hit as well as selling and critical acclaim. Nostalgia Lennoxs Sixth Solo Album debuted in the month of October 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs most loved soul jazz and blues tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera, a collection four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May 2019. The E.P. First album of hers, Now I Letting You Go... was released as an accompaniment to her installation of artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox born December 25 1954 is an Scottish politician, philanthropist and musician and singer. The latter part of the 70s was when she gained a little fame when the lead singer in The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international notoriety in the 80s under the name Eurythmics. The year 1992 was the year Lennox launched a solo career, releasing the release of her first album Diva with a variety of successful tracks, including Why and Walking in Broken Glass. Medusa the studio album, which was that was released in 1995 features versions of some of her biggest hits, such as The No MoreI Always Love Yous (and A Whiter Shade of Pale). Her six studio solo albums as well as her compilation album include a number of songs. |
